A loving relationship is conflict.

A loving relationship is a small hand

in the dark, encouraging pain,

so there can be growth,

a loving relationship doesn't let you escape,

but also leaves the door wide open

for anxieties to leave and for fears to expire.

In a sense, I've been looking for

a loving relationship

my whole life,

and as a result, I'm learning

that I am a coward.

A loving relationship is

an opportunity to transcend

ourselves, to be kind

to ourselves,

to grieve who we were

as we become more of who we

were always meant to be
